Why so-called "White Flight" has nothing to do with racism

http://newsmachete.com/?news=1876

Liberals see racism in white people in nearly everything they do. Hillary Clinton herself has said that everyone has some racism in them (perhaps the best example of projection in a public figure to date). When cities are flooded with illegal immigrants, many residents, many of them white, decide to move elsewhere.

Liberals derisively call that "white flight" and claim that people moving are doing so for racial reasons. Nothing could be further from the truth. When a flood of illegal aliens come in, their English illiterate children swamp local schools and lower the quality of education; crime rates go up; homeless people mob public places; property values go down; and when a "tipping point" becomes reached, English becomes the secondary language.

I thought some of the comments on my article about the de facto ethnic cleansing of white people in Santa Ana, California, captured this sentiment perfectly:

Citizen D • Some of my family lived in Santa Ana in the late 50s and early 60s. Santa Ana High School was a great All American school back then. Today it is 99% Hispanic with 93% of students on reduced cost lunches and 36% English learners.

At the same time (and not incidental to the illegal alien invasion, since this is what happens when elected officials ignore the rule of law in one area; it infects everything else) Santa Ana is hosting a de facto homeless encampment at its civic center. Hundreds of homeless vagrants have taken over the civic center complex, publicly urinating, defecating, taking drugs, agressively panhandling and generally terrorizing office workers and citizens trying to use the civic buildings for daily business, including reporting for jury duty. City officials wring their hands but are utterly feckless in dealing with the problem.

bikerken • A few years ago I was returning from a motorcycle trip up to the Redwoods and stopped in Santa Ana for gas on the way home to San Diego. Me and my buddy pulled over to the side of the gas station to put on our leather jackets and night-vision for the final leg home. Behind the gas station was a strip mall that none of the stores were open in. But someone had pried open the door to what looked like a former bakery and they were selling raw meat on open shelves unrefrigerated with flies all around. Out front was a hand-painted sign that just said MEAT and people were walking in and out buying there . This was about 10 yrs ago. Santa Ana has gone nowhere but downhill since.

Patrick • I used to live right next to Santa Ana, and can attest to everything in this article. (Moved away about 9 years ago). When I'd go just a few streets over from where Orange and Garden Grove and Santa Ana all meet (I lived next to the Block at Orange) to pay my power bill, the kiosk was in an Hispanic grocery store where the only English was on that kiosk. I heard nary a word of English every time I went there. It has an unbelievable high school drop out rate and illegitimacy rate.

Patrick • Santa Ana is indeed the only violent and gang infested part of Orange County. About 7 years ago, I was on the 15 driving past Lake Elsinore when my wife asked to pull over and grab a drink. I went to either a McDonalds or a Carls Jr. right off the freeway. There was not a single person in the restaurant that spoke English. Not one.

Larry Evans • I had a friend who bought a Condo in Santa Anna back in the late 80's. It was questionable even then. When he decided to move to Long Beach, he could not sell the place. No one that wanted to live in Santa Anna could afford the market price and no one that could afford the market price wanted to live in Santa Anna with the drugs and gangs.

Susan Tutt • I lived in Santa Ana from late 1974-1982. It was really nice then, although the south part was mostly Hispanic. When I left CA 3 years ago, downtown Santa Ana stores and businesses were completely Hispanic. I remember going into JC Penney in Main Place Mall before moving out, and the person on the loudspeaker was speaking Spanish only. Main Place Mall was a high-end place when it opened initially, but changed dramatically over time, ending up catering to a mostly Hispanic community.

This is what "white flight" is all about; it's nothing to do with racism, and indeed not only whites are fleeing, but every American who doesn't want to be victimized by an uncontrolled border and open door immigration policy that radically alters culture, language, and civic norms.

I'm sorry I didn't see this thread sooner.

I was meeting with my realtor.
