Why do people want kids?

Will E Worm

Conspiracy...
No, you said a lot of people do that; no, they don't, A relatively small number do that, having a baby for prestige wears off quickly and all the work becomes a drag for most shallow self-centered high school girls. They can see the other babies having babies, losing all their free time, and most have their babies by accident, not on purpose.

Because their parents didn't teach them correctly.

I don't care about the schools, sex isn't a class that belongs in schools.

The problem is too many children come from single parent homes.

Is somewhere outhere.
Mostly to create an extension of themselves and to make them feel they've properly
contributed to the world.Which is a lot of bullshit to be honest.

I've managed to exist for nearly 32 years without making the big mistake, although I've
came close several times. But in a couple of years I can be careless as I like :thefinger

I like children and I do know that people make them for having a bigger family and having heirs as well. I am 30 but thing are that in those difficult times, I don't really see myself as a parent. The times we are living in are economically difficult, culturally low, filled with a lot violence and also the food has decreased in quality. Bare in mind that a child is an enormous responsability and that a child costs a lot of time, money and health to educate and feed. If you are unable to promise your children a bright future then don't make any, because there is not much a worse thing than being a careless irresponsible father or a bad father. For the moment, I am single and I live my life fully and plainly without owing something to anyone else.

Slaves, showing off, obligation, family pride, some fucked up reason why they think this world needs more assholes (ok not all will be but more people in general) or some fucked up reason why they think a child should grow up in the twisted world (depending on the place ofcourse).

I will never have kids unless the human race really needs it but that'll probably never happen considering the high rate of births. I do feel that if anyone should continue making babies, it's people that have respect for life, the earth and the mind. If not, please don't have kids or atleast don't force your ideals on a child.

i do love kids, they make you see what life is all about.

I am a failure to the Korean side of my family
I would rather have an imaginary kid called "Let Me Sleep In On The Weekend". Actually it is more fun to be the crazy uncle, to my 3 nephews. We light off fireworks, and do all the destructive things my brother and his wife won't let them do.

Holy fuck....That is all I can say about this thread....Sorry if anything valid and decent was posted this last page just blew me away I am now going to relegate this to my "Dont touch with a barge pole" list

I do see a troubling theme here: it seems that Europeans (namely, people of the Anglo variety), in addition to Americans and Aussies are the ones who are declining to have children the most, whereas the third world, i.e., places like Africa, India and China wouldn't know the meaning of the word birth control if it hit them in the face. Just a harmless observation, but it makes you wonder how backward the world is when the most affluent places are the ones who least likely have children nowadays. We'll just keep importing our third world friends from south America and the middle east into these places, is that the logic? How dumb can Europeans get? Quite disgustin if you ask me, but coming from a two-income household, and knowing how dificult it was for them to even afford a few babies, it doesn't surprise me. Again, the world is backwards. And of course our welfare babies in America wouldn't strap on a condom if you paid them (of all racials varieties, Anglos included). Again disgusting.

You truly do have the single most over simplified & ill informed views I have ever heard!

By any chance, do you know how they became the largest nation on the planet at 1.3 billion? Surely it wasn't because of a one child policy. That's called "damage control."

You truly do have the single most over simplified & ill informed views I have ever heard!

I didn't opine on the whole reason. There's a lot of reasons. In Africa polygamy is a part of the culture and has been for centuries. In other places they needed the labor thus child rearing became part of their culture. People from places that practice (or practiced) polygamy surely have no place in Western culture. Further, the Indochinese culture in my town practices fixed marriages, in addition to underage marriage. It has no place in America culture whatsoever. Same goes for Mormons who practice it. Sorry I don't believe in cultural relativism, but I don't. That liberal drivel is a crock. And people wonder why certain places around the world are so fucked up.

.........to whom else are they going to teach their irrational religious beliefs and hatred towards a specific ethnic group?

Funny but doesnt always work out that way.....Your offspring usually want to rebel....If you had such goals I'd suggest reverse phycology

Facetious

Moderated
The majority of people who don't want children are self-centered.
Wrong ! It's the self centered, self aggrandizing, narcissistic types that wish to duplicate themselves, or half way at least, in the form of their own children that are the self centered types. ;) I'm half kidding

If people stopped having children then who would be left to run the world?
That's what worries me :scared:
