Titsrock, I'm not going to get too heated with you because we bond when it comes to tennis, soccer, and of course...Tiger. :)

But seriously, did Pelosi's, Kerry's and Edwards' net worth escape you that quickly? :1orglaugh

Elitism is elitism. That's why I've voted Independent the last two presidential election and only vote for moderates on a local level.

look scott, edwards got mega rich as a lawyer suing big business like philip morris. (shyster lawyer)
kerry married a woman who married a man who died and was the heir to heinze.
he was also married to a very rich woman before that.
(Professional gold digger)
And pelosi, well just look at her face
http://kingston.house.gov/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/PelosiGoosed1.jpg

Nothing slimy or sleazy about these folks.

We have to give ol' tits his due though, when he posted, my math showed he voted 1: Dems hate Repubs more than vice versa. Give credit where credit is due...at least Tits is being honest, lol...:1orglaugh

Hey, maybe, since democrats love to push the "hate laws" agenda, we should include a hate crimes law against democrats because their "thought crimes" deep down inside would love to see all republicans dead. :jump:

Bloody/Meester/WillE/Facetious---if you promise to drop John Edwards from all things Democratic, I will never mention Larry Craig again. Agreed? John Edwards was a wealthy, successful lawyer who "Tiger'd" himself badly. He is gone from politics forever. Same with Larry.

I hope you do vote for Moderates Bloody because that would mean you may actually consider Democratic candidates too.

John Kerry's decision to marry well doesn't disqualify him from being president or being a good/great president. Dubya has more of an elitist stink to him than Kerry did.

When Kerry, Reid, Pelosi, and Howard Dean are caught in a KStreet kind of situation or when they make decisions to hand billions of dollars to companies they used to be *affiliated with* (cough cough Cheney/Halliburton) let me know...:dunno:

Why do Republicans despise Pelosi and Reid right now? What have they gotten passed in Congress? Healthcare reform--no. Ending the wars--no. So far, I don't see that Republicans have anything to bitch about :dunno:

Anyone else wonder if politicians are all in it together to just divide us as a country of people, so while we are arguing politics they are for a majority, sitting back laughing at it while looking at all the commas in their bank accounts? Just a thought...

I mean, Republican or Democrat, they both suck and never do anything except that that involves money and gaining more power on a federal level and for themselves.

Here we are arguing over things that the government have been doing on both the red and blue sides. How, maybe, just maybe, if we turn this focus onto the government (instead of each other) and yell at them then some things will clear up and changes will finally be made! And for the better! Because the one thing that the government is afraid of is the voice and votes of the people. How if they keep us divided and arguing amongst ourselves we overlook simple things because we allow emotion and passion to blind us.

Remember: Government is suppose to represent us! The people. It is our voice! They work for us! Not we work for them and have them control everything.

So if we are divided, naturally, there is no one embodiment of a country to be represented. Makes it all that easier for them to come in and take over. Look at the banks, auto industry, housing for starters. How has that gone since government got involved and we, the people, lost that to the federal level? Now they want to get involved with our medical, environment, and education (Not all education is government, mind you) for our benefit??

Maybe it is time to turn our focus off of each other for being red, blue, or whatever and turn it on the government and straighten that out! Before it is too late and we no longer have a voice in this country.

I'd vote for this guy: http://www.nndb.com/people/109/000122740/ but he's not in my district. Even O'Reilly hailed this guy on his show recently. Why? Because he was one of a few congressman who returned their salary raise to the government. Yes, and he's a democrat. Fuckin'-a I'd vote for him. :hatsoff:

You'd vote for him because he gave his money back to the government??? The government would be the last place I'd want to give it to!

Now if he took that money and gave it to a few families tax free, in cash, and all that jazz. Then I would applaud him.

I think it comes down to a few minor issues. Other than that they are pretty much the same on things like immigration reform, the war in Iraq, bailing out Wall Street. What moderate conservatives are looking for (I think) are some basic things like being able to have a little more say over their money, having public schools that don't have an agenda... *gasp* gun ownership, etc. Just my observation.

Liberal democrats on the other hand seem to want to take America and turn it upside down. Today, to my utter dismay, I heard about this at a University I nearly attended:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BhJoS4bBQY&feature=youtube_gdata

...I mean, are they fucking SERIOUS? That sort of ultra-liberal brainwashing down right makes my blood boil. Do I hate them? Hell no. But it does make me more proactive in working against them.

Whoa, I think that one flew over your head, whimsy. (1) It wasn't his to begin with - I.e., he didn't "give" it back, he just refused it, (2) if all politicians did this is would alleviate some of the bloated budget we have because of these raises, (3) he was one of only a few who did it, both dem or repub.

We pay politicians because we elect politicians to legislate on our behalf. It's a nice idea that this person returned his salary but shouldn't people be paid for their work?

I think our government has to move toward simple majority vote by our elected officials in order to get things done or stop things from getting done. Or eliminate the Senate. The House of Reps is more attuned to America's growth and needs than the Senate is. More populous states get more seats at the table, basically...

Oh. You said he returned it, not refused. If he refused, that is different. However, I still wouldn't let the government have it, not like that. I would stick with what I originally said about giving it in cash, tax free, to a couple families who need it.
