Who are your Public "Heroes"?

So I'm wondering, who do you admire in the world of Pop Culture? They don't need to have done something noble or sacrificial in the true sense of a hero, just someone you think is awesome from the worlds of Music, Film, Television, Sports, Internet (Porn if you wish) or whatever. I'd like to try to keep politics out of this, if you don't mind, as it will probably just end up being a flame war. So list as many as you want and or discuss.

Outside of my state: Tim Tebow. Kurt Warner. Jeremy Roenick.

All I can think of right now, but there are many more. Pretty much any celeb that gives back to their communities and aren't superficial left-wing nut bags who are just complete assholes.
