As far as softcore is concerned, a few of my favorites have been at or near the top for awhile: Aimee Sweet, Erica Campbell, Veronica Zemanova, Aria Giovanni, Eve Angel possibly.

As far as hardcore goes there are people who are more popular than others but at this point in time I don't think there is a dominate one that is considered head and shoulders above the other in terms of notoriety and popularity the way Jenna or some of the stars of the 80s were. Some of the people that have been stated before in this thread are in the upper tier and might have the ability to pull ahead in the next few years but who knows.
