When I Was A Little Kid I Thought Macabre Was Pronounced “Mack-A-Burr”

Do any of you still think it’s supposed to be said that way? Pretty silly if you do because you’re too old. Vincent Price was the Mack Daddy of Macabre. Saying that the wrong way sounds more betterer.
