When Do Memes Stop Being Funny?

I understood where the guy was coming from after three minutes ("shit gets old quick") and stopped watching. Let me know if the next ten minutes were worth watching, I was not convinced it was worth my ten minutes to find out.
Personally most memes are no longer funny to me the second time I see them if they are "text put on picture." It's funny if it's clever, but by the second viewing, it's not likely to trigger the same response. An image can remain funny indefinitely depending on context, if they are used appropriately in reaction to what somebody has said or done. Like most forms of humour, timing is everything.
