You got the lyrics wrong. It's "like a virgin, TOUCHED for the very first time."

Guns 'N Roses- Use Your Illusion 1 and 2

Hiliary 2020
tough question.
5 of my favorites (I have about 100) are:

Jethro Tull - Aqualung
Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti
Squeeze - Argybargy
Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
Smashing Pumpkins - Pisces Iscariot
Rolling Stones - Everything from 66-78
Boston - Boston
REM - Fables of the Reconstruction
The Kinks - The Kink Kronicles
The Who - The Who by Numbers
Lynrd Skynyrd - Everything they put out

Metallica - Ride the Lightning

:banger:

I see earlier in the thread people talking about the VERY average production on ...And Justice For All, and I gotta agree - if they went back in the studio now and re-recorded that album, it would sound MASSIVE!! The songs on that album are incredible, but the sound quality has robbed it of the 'Puppets' status it deserves.
Anyway, Ride the Lighting - brutal thrash metal, with tip-top production (and it came out 4 years before 'Justice')

U2 - Joshua Tree. Although the songs on the album are so played out that I ended up listening to The Unforgettable Fire and Rattle & Hum more. But in terms of quality there's no better album out there. I hate Actung Baby. I only listen to U2 that's Pre-Actung Baby (and I used to own that album. Zooropa is the last U2 album I bought btw.)

Some of my other favorites are:

Nirvana - Nevermind
Pearl Jam - Ten
The Cure - Wish
Liz Phair - Exile In Guyville
No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom
Depeche Mode - Violator

That list does not suck at all. I would add Radiohead "Hail to the Thief"" and Social Distortion "Live in Orange County" and DAve Matthews Band "Under the Table and Dreaming"....

Dismember - Like An Everflowing Stream

...concerning technicality, songwriting, riffs, etc... what the fuck ever...
