It seems as if the minute someone on here posts a web site that is not of a pornographic he is automatically attacked and called sickening or perverted. I am very familiar with these various real death and gore sites like orgish.com and rotten.com. While I certainly do not condone or wish murder or any other type of bodily harm on another human, i am somewhat fascinated with reading articles and pictures invoving death, suicide, etc. While very graphic and brutal in its own sense it is in fact a sense of reality and shows that death is indeed real and in no way a laughing matter.
Does this make me a bad person for being fascinated by images of death and destruction? I certainly think not, it is in fact more real than posting any link of pornography or nude pics of amateur models. Yes to compare the 2 is certainly not fair in any sense whatsoever. But the main difference is we are not afraid to look at pics and videos of nude women or various sex acts. Yet we shy away from realities of death, gore and violence. Our society is deathly afraid of violence, particularly in the media and in movies, however at the same time we accept sex as a normal medium and do not make as much of a fuss over it. What does this prove about on a board like this, absolutely nothing, but it is indeed unfair to judge someone on what fascinates them, whether is it of pornographc nature or of a death and brutality nature. I have said my peace and would hope we fellow posters will respect each other and enjoy these boards. Thank you.
