What we do for a living

Ok, here we go......

Does anyone on here really give a crap about what the other members do for a living? Does anyone on here want to hear (over and over and over and over and over and over and over) What your fellow members do for a living?

Personally, if someone mentions in a post what they do for a living, that's fine and sometimes it's cool to know what our friends on here do in the real world. What I don't like is when people tell us what they do ALL THE TIME. Nobody cares to hear this stuff over and over, you mention it in a post, fine, we got it, now shut the hell up about it already. Just curious to see what my fellow members think.

But I make more then enough (though not ALLOT more then enough) to get by.

I think this is a great thread idea.

I liked it as soon as I saw it.

But when I read your reasons, I liked it even more.

No I don't "give a crap" how ever I am interested in hearing what they do.

But yeah I agree, I don't wanna hear over and over.

For example there are certain members, who I won't name, who seem to throw in there careers or things that happen to them during the job just to try to make themselves look like "better people". That really pisses me off. We are all members of a porn-forum aren't we? Clearly we're all in the same 'boat' so to speak.

BTW, I realize that this post may (or may not - I do not know) sound a bit bragging or something.

If it does in anyway, that is not how I meant it.

I make a pretty good living (though I have no mouths to feed) basically working not very much. Though I realize there are people on here that make FAR more then I.

And I realize that many on here (and most of my friends) work VERY hard and often for not much in return.
And I realize I am very fortunate to be in this position.

But if it means anything when I lost 45% of my net worth during the dot.com crash it woke me up. Inside I have a definite and large fear that if I blow what I have left that I will be in trouble. I am 44 and the longest jobs I have had (other then this) are delivering pizza's and working in a bowling alley for minimum wage. And I dropped out of high school (3 times!) and post secondary education (twice).
(Okay, so I am not a stick to it kind of guy - lol).

So if I fuck this up, I am probably fucked.

I have a tremendous respect for those that have to work hard for a living and are on a pay cheque to pay cheque basis.

Pardon me, I just wanted to type that.


Did I also mention that I am Al Gore's son?
