Scotland is one of the easiest countries in the world to choose the best band from, it´s of course The Jesus & Mary Chain.

The Hellacopters is my favourite Swedish band.

As for Canada...Moneen, Controller.Controller, The Constantines, Final Fantasy, Death From Above 1979, MSTRKRFT, Metric, Crystal Castles, Stars, Feist, Broken Social Scene, Arcade Fire, City and Colour, The Tragically Hip, Rush, The Guess Who, Matt Mays and El Torpedo, Sam Roberts, etc, etc, etc. The list goes on and on. We're pretty lucky up here.

It sucks that Battleaxe is struggling so much. Madchild is cool beings. Battleaxe has put out some dope albums.

I met Madchild once. He's a friend of a friend. Not my style though.

As far as Canadian hip hop goes, Classified, k-os and Buck 65 are the only ones I enjoy. I don't like Drake much. We have a lot of up and comers here like Shad and K'naan, but I'm just not into the genre enough to appreciate them.

JAMC is incredible, Orange Juice is a great scot band, along with Cocteau Twins, The Blue Nile and Belle & Sebastian, one of my favorites by far! They love Motown and put on one of the best live shows!

Yeah the genre has turned to almost entirely shit. If you want to torture someone lock them in a room with Lil Wayne blasting at max volume. Good god he is terrible and reflective of everything wrong with the genre.
