What is the scariest movie/movies you have ever seen?

I'd recommend Guillermo Del Toro's The Devils Backbone. If you liked his Pan's Labyrinth, then you'll probably enjoy it. It's not really scary, but what horror movie is? It's the rare well made horror movie.

It's subtitled so if you haven't finished your hooked on phonics, or believe that foreign movies should be English Only, you'll have to wait a few months for the Hollywood remake starring Shia Labeouf.

The Orphanage as previously mentioned. Diabolique is not that scary save for the ending. Go with the original not the remake. I saw an Italian dub of The Entity with no subtitles, still scared the shit out of me.

Paranormal Activity is pathetic.

If you want gore, go for japanese slashers, like Ichi.

The Grudge is pretty good.

I still haven't seen the Poughkeepsie Tapes which even though isn't scary, I have heard things about it.

The Exorcist is the scariest one I've ever seen.

The second scariest is the original Nightmare on Elm Street. They had a number of really stupid sequels, but the original was very good.

The first two Evil Dead movies were pretty good too.

I do not watch movies that are about scaring people. They just bring me down, and, well, scare me.

Maybe it's strange but I do not enjoy being scared :dunno:
