What is the latest good film you watched ?

I was going to watch the original Night Of The Living Dead last night, but since it was on AMC and full of commercials,I decided not to.I didn't want my first viewing of (that's right,I've never seen it before) to be tainted.

I was watching some of that last night but fell asleep. I don't take AMC seriously anymore, they used to be called American Movie Classics but a couple months ago they were showing Catwoman.

They haven't shown any "classics" in quite some time now.If you want to see anything that's considered a classic, you'll have to tune into TCM.NOTLD is the first movie that AMC has shown in b&w in years.

Even though it seems like I'm ragging on them,i actually like AMC.Breaking Bad is reason enough to watch that network, and I'll be checking out The Prisoner too.

"surrogates" which was an excellent movie with Bruce Willis

X-Men

It's one of those movies I remember seeing about 3 times at the theaters back in the summer of 2000 when it was released. Good times. :)

Spleen

Banned?
The Deer Hunter

Great film, but it needs more war and less wedding.

This Is It

Fitting tribute to one of the greatest performers of all time.

Not much insight into the man though, but the very fact that such an entertaining film could be made merely from rehearsal footage shows just how much of a perfectionist he was, and the amount of energy and passion he put into his performances.

His Billie Jean rehearsal took me right back to that little boy I was when I first saw one of his videos and said, "WOW!!!"

It was great seeing him command a stage like only he could. Would have been better if he'd done it live though :crying:

G.I. Joe: Resolute (2009)

This should've been, what that craptacular movie that just came out, was.

It's truly unbelievable that a cartoon split into 11,5 minute segments can have a story that blows away,by fucking miles mind you, that pitiful Hollywood offering of this past summer.

I really hope that they do more of those, because after watching the whole thing a few weeks ago,I've been really geeked up to see some more quality Joe stuff.

Actually I thought Resolute was good but not great. I felt, like a lot of movies lately, was way too over-hyped. I thought that the little Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow story wasn't needed, was distracting and kinda boring. I also didn't like the ending and thought "That's it?" I haven't decided if I want to buy it or not.
