What Are Your Favorite Musuems Or Halls of Fame?

The one musuem I always liked was the Mummer Musuem (I think that's how you spell it) it's a medical oddity musuem in Pennsylvania. Then there is the Hockey Hall of Fame, up in Toronto really cool. I always dug and still enjoy the Boston Musuem of Science and Peabody Essex Museum over where I live. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was alright, same with the Baseball and Basketball hall's of fame. I still want to go to the Ripley's Believe it or Not Musuem, Madam Tousade's Wax Musuem. The ultimate one is the Smithsonian I could spend a whole weeks worth of vacation there. So what do you guys like?

The Exploratorium and the Academy of Sciences at Golden Gate Park are both really cool.

The Exploratorium reminds me of a great museum of the sciences in Mexico City, El Papalote, where all the exhibits are interactive and are intended to teach visitors different aspects of the sciences. El Papalote is much bigger and more complete, but in this area the Exploratorium is the best thing there is.

The California Academy of Sciences is a great place to learn about life sciences. It has one of the biggest aquariums on the west coast, a huge 5-storey tropical habitat, I think they said the biggest living roof in the world, and penguins. Penguins are bad ass.

I like the La Brea Tar Pits in L.A. I always found that place fascinating.

The Museum of Aviation in Midland, Texas is great because it features the biggest collection of WWII aircraft in the Western Hemisphere.

The Museo de las Momias de Guanajuato in Guanajuato, Mexico has over a hundred mummies on display. They date back to the 18th century, and show a glimpse into what life (and death) was like back then.

I've been to:

College Football Hall Of Fame
Pro Football Hall Of Fame
Baseball Hall Of Fame
Rock 'N Roll Hall Of Fame And Museum
Pro Hockey Hall Of Fame

...and too many different types of museums, smaller halls-of-fame, and such to mention. I guess the Baseball Hall Of Fame was the best experience, because the whole town of Cooperstown is nothing but a big baseball memorabilia city.
