We need your help: New FreeOnes Layout!

I realize you probably gotta keep the orange because of the freeones logo but any change in colors would probably be welcome.

A darker blue background might be a nice change. (IMO)

Seems to be alot of extra space at the edges of the page. It does look cleaner, however the staggering of pics and text is a bit confusing at first glance. And i agree with yankee, some clutter can be better.

I second that notion - baby blue and orange just aren't colors you often see used together. A change would be nice, but it'd be an financial initial outlay in new promo material. As far as the new main page layout, seems a bit more crisp. :2 cents: :thumbsup:

I understand the orange part of a Dutch based board, though!!

From the new setup, I think the selection letters should contrast with the background, instead of white on white (with black outlines).

Well the old page has the whole keep track of your favorite babes with (link for Myfreeones) and that is right there as soon as you load up. The new design you have to scroll down to Freeones internal. Not that its hard to find or its going to cause chaos, but I like to be lazy and not have to scroll if I don't have to.

I agree like just like it is change isn't always better.Although I'm not saying is bad either it's I like it the way it is now.

It is hard to mix other colors than the ones used with the freeones colors (blue/orange) so not at this point.

this new layout is fine but doesn't work properly under firefox 1.5 :o

9inch, could you please explain me what goes wrong in ff 1.5, i'm using 1.07 over here and everything works fine..

We tested the layout with Internet Explorer 5.x & 6.x, Firefox 1.07 and lower, in opera 8.0.2 and lower (which has one problem i know of)..

Do not forget that the version of firefox you are using atm is still in development.. 1.5 would be deerhunter and deerhunter has, as far as i know, only a beta prototype that has been release..

Now the page isn't entirely finished so most problems that are around will be fixed, for the ones who know what i'm talking about, we've still got to convert the layout markup to css2..

Just some suggestions.

1. Keep the blue background in all of the boxes.
2. Have the Freeones Logo be linked to the home or index page.

Otherwise love the layout. Are you planning on having the orange arrow in the top left of each box act to close a particular box?

i like that the search function is underneath the letter selection. i would make the letters orange in that selection box, i think it'd be easier to use that way. and if you're changing things, a suggestion about the 'myfreeones' was made earlier in the thread. i wouldn't move anything up from the freeones internal, but i would change the briefcase from saying my account to my freeones. and less clutter is better! i would think about moving the links at the sides of the search box elsewhere. imo less clutter makes the site easier to navigate and easier to look at. as always great job

No the arrow won't close a box.
