Wannabe robber wearing mop flees the scene at gas station

A would-be robber, caught on security cam, wearing an unusual disguise.

The man ran into a gas station wearing a mop on his head and demanded money.

He gave up and fled the store when the cashier was slow in handing over the cash.

Investigators are reviewing security tapes in the hope of finding more clues to the man's identity.

'Duct tape bandit' charged in robbery

"ASHLAND, Ky. - A man accused of being the "Duct Tape Bandit" has gotten into a sticky situation. The man, who had his head wrapped in duct tape to conceal his identity, walked into a liquor store on Friday, Ashland police said.
Shamrock Liquors store manager Bill Steele had some duct tape of his own, but his was wrapped around a wooden club that sent the robber fleeing, according to a report by WSAZ-TV in Huntington, W.Va."

Next I bet somebody is going to disguise himself as a tree using duct tape and mops when he robs a bank. At least it isn’t as bad as the guy who robbed a gas station wearing a paper bag that he didn’t cut eyeholes in so he could see out of it.
