NEW YORK - Wall Street tumbled Monday, joining a selloff around the world as fears grew that the financial crisis will cascade through economies globally despite bailout efforts by the U.S. and other governments. The Dow Jones industrials skidded more than 400 points and fell below 10,000 for the first time in four years, while the credit markets remained under strain.

Turkish Istanbul Stock Exchange dropped about 8.62% and US$ rose from 1.30 YTL to 1.37 YTL today. 3rd Black Monday in a row! Global Fuck Fest requires a lot of funds! :D

Ohhh boy we are in for a wild ride! Bush and Congress wanted to secure their financial future with that bullshit out of their ass bail out, where they should have taken some time and come up with a better debated and prepared bail out package, now if that doesn't work what's next? Postpone the elections due to the declaration of national emergency because people are going to get pissed off if this shit hits the fan. Obama or McCain good luck if they even get to be elected.

Hearings going on now with Lehman Bros. CEO

Got no cable :crying: probably on Cspan wonder if they got a website.

yeah, did you hear about how their executives laughed and joked about going without their yearly bonuses while they were asking the public to pay off thier debts?

I said it before, liquidate the assets of these motherfuckers. while they are at they should throw them in the slammer for numerous counts of fraud.

Better off long term if we just Liquidate them.:ak47:

Some people just don't get it. The economy is in great shape!

Now who taught him to say that? :)

The Enron Story Everyone Is Missing: The Bush-Ken Lay Connection

That Lay was instrumental in Bush’s rise to the presidency is indisputable. Since 1993, Lay and top Enron executives donated nearly $2 million to Bush. Lay also personally donated $326,000 in soft money to the Republican Party in the three years prior to Bush’s presidential bid, and he was one of the Republican “pioneers” who raised $100,000 in smaller contributions for Bush. Lay’s wife donated $100,000 for inauguration festivities.

As governor, Bush did what Enron wanted, cutting taxes and deregulating utilities. The deregulation ideology, which George W. long had adopted as gospel, allowed dubious bookkeeping and other acts of chicanery that shocked Wall Street and drove a $60-billion company, seventh on the Fortune 500 list, into bankruptcy.

gotta hand it to him, we didn't think that in his short time left in office he could fuck up things any more. guess he wanted to keep consistent.

Ah come on did you truly think Bush did this on his own?

He pull off a couple of fast ones on Congress before and they went right a long with it:

War on Iraq, Patriot Act, Lifting the Offshore drilling ban and the $700 Billion bail out. among the many times he has gone to them "the sky is falling we need to approve this law now! And they go for it...

I was brought up to believe the President was honest. This is all a revelation to me! You mean he shouldn't have been trusted?

You have to laugh. People never learn. No matter how much technology we have and how much we are educated, nothing ever really changes. :rofl2:

That must have been in first grade...or did you mean George Washington and that cherry three and the ax story?

What we need to do is go and buy canned soup and watch more porn.

Oh, you've got a head start on me. I didn't know the President could be dishonest. My stupid!

I guess my lesson is you can't go back, so it's best not to vote for a guy who's dishonest as President.

I'd better be careful and not vote for an honest looking Navy guy and a soccer mom who just doesn't seem quite right. Especially when his past ties to corruption then and now that I talked about a while back are just surfacing on the news today. :dunno:

I am not impressed or inspired confidence by a two year junior senator that uses hope and change as his main reason to vote for him. As in right now my lil tiny vote is not going to any of these fools.. This election is going to be decided by independents, undecided and latino votes. Lets put it this way half of the latinos (Mexicans mostly) are pissed off at the GOP and McCain is part of that party who blames illegals of all our mishaps. This Wallstreet and the K5 thing is killing his chances as he tries to mudsling from the trenches towards dear ol Barry is asociation with Ayers and other dubious characters but it doesn't stick quite well..maybe it was made in China?

I am going right now to buy some canned food and some porn mags and making sure my protable dvd player works so I can watch some porn in case of a national emergency. What about you AFA?

I don't agree with that at all. Any ass can see, (even me), it's obvious change is needed and someone's got to do it. Particularly someone who's not a Washington insider. I haven't heard one strategic part of any plan of McCain on anything, and his camp is just flinging mud around. What he does suggest is the same stupid Bush policy, (or lack of), having one.

Keating 5 is a character issue at the least. The same one called into question due to his association with Freddy Mac.
Made in China? Talk to the CEO's of US corportations that buy from China and get the big bucks.

Still not convinced by his vast years  in experience that he has and his dubious buddies that just happens to hate america.

So what are your preparedness plans you never answer??

Do you think it might get better tomorrow? It's like every day there's a new headline of stocks falling...:spump:

who knows? obviously the American public is powerless to make any influence on Washington.
