Yep. Unfortunately, this is true. If the contract had anything written in there about them being able to use her photos and likeness for whatever purpose, then she can't sue. It's all in the papers. Gotta read them before signing them. It does suck when people take advantage of girls like that, but... if she signs the papers, then what's done is done.
That's mostly true, but allow me to slightly disagree in this case, Harley: even if you release the photo fully it is still attached to your person as a stage name with your real name behind it. Some girls are so naive not to attach a stage name for one off shootings, but that's a different matter...we're not talking about my butcher's daughetr looking for 100 extra bucks: we are talking of a professional like Vicky is. You release the rights to the shot material related to your image, nothing else. As Vicky sates:
"I’m NOT Groovy232…. and no….. I am not in El Paso, Tucson, Santa Clarita or anywhere else seeking a casual fling in your neighborhood."
That's a mystified use of her image. She clearly says that the problem is not in the image, but in the use of the image. Thing is that AFF can't say Vicky Vette is on AFF and right now she is El Paso looking for a fling with you using her picture because that would be a lie. Therefore they try to use her image and attach it to a fake AFF profile trying to mystify people into believing that Vicky is on AFF as Groovy232 looking for flings: that's a double lie and to me also clearly *******.
It could have imo even more bad implications for AFF because they make clear what we all knew already: those advertisements are a scam and most of those profiles advertised do not exist. I wonder what would happen if a rampant attorney started a class action for false advertising and misleading marketing. I mean...i signup and pay hoping to hook up with Vicky Vette and then it comes out that she is not on AFF and that she didn't even know anything about it.
