US States Requiring Photo ID to Access Adult Content Online

Please read THIS article at PornHub for more information. I'm writing this thread for information purposes and let users know that this is happening.

Here are some thoughts about this.

1. This is making it very difficult to identify any of my favorite unknown adult models and actress as many sites that I use like PornHub and HotMovies are inaccessible to me at the moment.
2. This also would make it hard for me to attempt to identify any babe in the IDBabe section as many links are now inaccessible to me. If you have a babe that needs identified please provide a picture to go along with you post. That would be appreciated thanks.
3. I can still access xHamster and per partnership FapHouse because I still have an account there.
4. Many other sites now redirect to entirely different sites instead. This would make it impossible for people who live in those states to even log in.
5. I think it is a huge security and identification fraud risk to require a photo ID attached to your account. If the sites ever get hacked the hackers will have access to your personal photo ID. Which is never a good thing.
6. I think it would be better for these states to have a secure site where they give you an encrypted code. You can then use this code to verify your age and identity when using online services. Not just adult sites.
7. I feel that these states will soon require photo ID to access social media sites like Facebook, YouTube, and X also making it harder for anyone to use the Internet.
8. Will Freeones require a photo ID here too? What is this sites stance on this topic? Thanks in advance for your input.

I live in one of those "liberal" states. I don't have to worry. So I feel for you.

But who goes to Pornhub? It's a dustbowl.

FreeOnes is worldwide. In Europe. The Netherlands. I don't think they'd resort to requiring photo ID for members and users.

As for identifying ladies, you can still put your pictures into Yandex and Tineye. Correct? These sites shouldn't be affected by your state's block on adult content.

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
*sigh* If only these Conservative, right-wing states would make acquiring a gun as difficult......
It IS NOT easier to buy a gun. You are misinformed if you really believe that. Why is it a big deal to have to prove your age. You have to do it when you buy beer, or smokes. You have to show I.D. to rent a car, or go into a dispensary, and in the old days, when adult book stores still existed, you had to show I.D. there too.

I get where you are coming from. I used to have to show my ID when buying M rated video games back in the day. But as for online services I am not guaranteed that my info will be safe. When going to a physical store all the cashier has to do is look at your ID an then it is given back to you not stored on their computer systems.

That's why I like my idea of the encrypted security code that I mentioned above. It would make verifying your age so much safer online.

Additionally if these states have their way you will have to register and pay a fee to view adult content online. That's just another thing to pay for in this already overpriced USA.

One more hoop to jump through to purchase content. The U.S. Federal government considers porn similar to illegal drugs and money laundering. They regulate the banks and pressure financial institutions to block transactions deemed illegal. Community standards change, depending on where you live. Pick the right venue, with a conservative jury and you may get a conviction. They tried to convict John Stagliano in Washington, D.C. and failed. I say get what you can while the getting is good. Agenda 2025.

"They regulate the banks and pressure financial institutions to block transactions deemed illegal." Actually, when the whole Pornhub thing went down, I saw a (YT?) video / story on it. The basis for the banks taking action against PH was a super-religious, conservative group. So, that is the "they" you are referring to. It wasn't a government entity behind it.

I just witness that AdultTime now requires you to verify your age to access the site.
Again it's your state or community doing this. All I do is put my username and password in, then I get past the bundle offer page. And then I'm in. I'm not verifying my age. Nothing.

I was just in Alabama over a week ago and I was in hell literally.. Like that sign says "Pray to God or the devil will get you." I couldn't get on porn hub, I forgot who I was jerking off to now, I think it was Millie Morgan or Maria Kazi but either way it was bullshit! Btw what happened to separation between church and government?? That's what I don't like about some far right winger, I'm moderate myself but why do you prevent someone else from enjoying their porn like that because of your religious feelings??

"I'm moderate myself but why do you prevent someone else from enjoying their porn like that because of your religious feelings??" To protect the children!!

Well what they are really doing is trying to hurt the porn industry. They know damn well that someone accessing porn is 8 times out of 10 not going to go through the hassle of verifying the ID and they are going to find another site where they don't need an ID and or account. Another thing I would like to add is this as well pushes porn and porn sites underground more which will make it worse for porn performers and the workers in the industry. Do we really want porn to go more underground?? I watched porn at a young teenage myself , I as well would come on this very site here on Freeones and have been posting since being a teenager. I see nothing wrong or immoral with porn and viewing and or doing porn. I also come from a religious freak family and don't agree with that stance that porn is "immoral". States are going to push and pass whatever they want, but I want my pornhub damnit!

Please read THIS article at PornHub for more information
They're the cause of it, the laws were made for free sites but paysites get caught in the dragnet, for information you must read the actual bills. many don't realize that free sites are the Achilles heel for the industry, just blame the free sites for something then make laws that affect every site.

please read the actual bills, uploading your ID isn't required, it's optional (depending on the state)
from Indiana's bill https://iga.in.gov/pdf-documents/123/2024/senate/bills/SB0017/SB0017.05.ENRH.pdf
Age verification mechanisms allowed
  • A mobile credential;
  • An independent third party age verification service that compares identifying information of the individual seeking access with material from a commercially available database; and
  • Any commercially reasonable method that relies on public or private transactional data.

it means you can use your phone number, email, ssn, address to age verify. It depends on the state. In case you didn't know, many services you sign up to sell your information, this is what 3rd party verification services use to verify your age.

Really good point here. I think we all have some kinds of porn that we don't want associated with our real identities. And many of us probably don't trust the cyber security of your average porn site. Especially at a time when we hear corporate databases constantly being hacked.
