Hate to burst your bubble right off the bat but I recall this from school. There are 46 States with 4 more technically a "Commonwealth." I forget which 4 other than I have heard way too many times the phrase "Commonwealth of Virginia" so I know they are 1. I could Google the other 3 but that would be cheating but I vividly recall from Elementary School (and that was some time ago) the 46-4 breakdown.

Sorry to do this right off the bat.

Without going to look this up cuz that is cheating, my GUESS - and it might not even be one that happened, is: Bunker Hill

The obvious would be Gettysburg right? But it wouldn't be the obvious so I'm guessing ... Antietam?

The American Civil War is not my bag, baby.

Petersburg's Siege, almost twice as bloody as Gettyburg. But does a siege count as a battle, I'm not sure...

Bunker Hill? That was in the American Revolutionary War.

It was the Battle of Shiloh.

Aftermath caused the draft riots in the North which was portrayed in "Gangs of New York".

Real easy.

Which founder of the Commission was used by the military to secure NY harbor from German and Italian spies/sabotage in WWII?

As far as states and commonwealths go it could be argued that it's just a meaningless semantic issue those states use and has no legal basis. I'm sure as far as the laws and courts go they are states so it could be properly claimed there are 50 of them.

But if you are in court in these States they will always say Commonwealth vs instead of State vs.

Still are States. but Commonwealth allows for changes in current laws passed that adjust to the times without re-debate with a vote.
