Why the Pentagon reports this is beyond me. It makes the US look bad, it makes our soldiers look bad, it breaks the bond of trust, and it pushes the common Iraqis into the hand of the anti-American groups in Iraq. Given, I can, to an extent, understand this reaction to the distress of seeing your comrade ******; however, I also think that more should be expected of a well-trained and disciplined American soldier.
