Not news: Heckle the umpire on a close call. News: That's an ejection. freeones: For the whole crowd.
I have never cared for referees or umpires and this just solidifies my resolve to heckle them even more.
In junior high my football team sucked so bad the officials wanted us to forfeit the rest of our season after the sixth game. We put in the effort and practiced hard but we had little talent at the skill positions and a very small line. When the officials came to break the news to my team everyone went a little bananas on them and we almost had a few parents get into fist fights with league officials over it. One of my buddies on another team (and plays drums for Slipknot now) walked over to the commissioner of the league and started berating him in front of the entire assemblage. I'll never forget him just going after him like a pit bull. From that time on whenever I was on the field if I had an opportunity to hit a referee who might be in the way, I took it.
This guy just sounds like a thin skinned fascist.
