TIMES: Healthcare in the US

I thought I'd offer a change of topic with this article in the latest TIMES that talks a great deal about the healthcare system in the USA and why it's broken.

Time magazine this week is out with a mammoth, 24,000-word story on the state of the U.S. health care system written by Steven Brill, an author who many best be known as the creator of CourTV. According to the story, Brill spent seven months researching why health care costs so much in America.

What he found isn't pretty.

The TIMES article is Premium Link Upgrade . It's a long article, but I think it's important for anybody in the US for obvious reasons (it's your health, after all!). I'm still working my way through it.
