There Will Be No Border Wall

President Trump's Chief of Staff John Kelly told congressional Democrats on Wednesday that the president's campaign promises about the border wall were "uninformed," the Washington Post reports. Kelly said the U.S. won't construct a physical wall along the entire border with Mexico, despite Trump's claims to the contrary.

The details: Kelly made the comments during a meeting with members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, among others, "who have been deeply critical of Trump’s position on immigration policy," the Post reports.

Now that you have told us you are supersmart, I will believe everything you say.

Can't wait to see the majestic building, once it is finished.

Hopefully, your great president won't have to talk to Mueller without strong support by his lawyers. Because, you know, if Mueller asks him questions about his business deals, he will be deliver everything needed for prison in 5 minutes time. He's that kind of guy.

Trump squabbling with members of his administration isn't a reflection of anyone but himself.

Not to go too far off topic, but a friend sent me a rather interesting tidbit from Idaho this morning. It seems more than 7000 tech, engineering and science jobs went begging last year in the state of Idaho. Idaho. I mention it because the American president brags that he wants to bring coal mining and textile mill jobs back, while 7000 VERY well-paying jobs are unfilled in one tiny state alone. It's a trend that should trouble Americans, but does it? The jobs of the future aren't in an antiquated fuel source or an industry that figured out faster ways to make their products cheaper decades ago. And American schools are teaching their kids......... how to take standardized tests. Yep, the real good paying jobs are going to be for professional test-takers. Trump wants to build a wall around America, and have everyone digging for coal, and y'all will be happy. Build the wall and all the ill-will it implies to the rest of the world, and watch while the rest of the world passes you as if you're standing still. Asian and European kids aren't learning how to take tests. They're learning to speak and write more than one language, they're learning how to write code, they're honing science and technology skills. Remember, in the first GOP presidential debate last year, when asked what the biggest challenge facing the American economy was, then candidate trump said, "Wages are too high." It would seem there are powerful forces in America that are dedicated to keeping wages low. That's what the popular American disdain for education and languages is all about. Have fun with all those coal mining and textile mill jobs trump is going to get for ya. The rest of the world is racing along in the 21st century.
