HEY GUYS (and girls)!

It's that time of year again.

I am really excited to be involved in Miss FO contest again and I am in it to win it this year.

I am aware that some of you most loyal board members probably think I don't post on the FO boards often enough to deserve to win the crown.
I do try hard to post as often as I can, and of course now that the contest is on again I'm trying even harder.
For those of you who don't see any reason why you should for for me, I encourage you (is beg too strong a word? LOL) to go check out my website/blog, www.siripornstar.com. The reason I have a hard time posting across FO boards as often as I would like to is because I literally spend 6 hours a day, usually even on days when I shoot (using up my free time on set) personally responding to tumblr questions, twitter questions, and emails sent directly to me.

I love my fans, each and every one of you, and I want you all to know that!!! That's why I devote my daily life to doing all of this stuff! I have no career doing what I love without my fans there to support me. So thank you for watching my porn, for reading this post, for looking at my website, and hopefully for voting for me.

By the way, if I am so blessed as to win the Miss FreeOnes 2013 crown, I intend to use the prize money to invest in building my production company (first stop: Hello Canon 5D and your BEAUTIFUL video!!), and will donate some to my favorite non-profit Polaris Project (www.polarisproject.org). It's not enough for me to just appear in front of the camera... I want to listen to my fans and have more involvement in every step of production so I can create exactly the kind of porn you guys wanna watch. It's my PASSION, yo! ;D

It's nice to see that you want to contribute more around here. I did take a look at your site and I can tell you are, as you say, doing this for your fans. The biggest qualm I think most of us have around here (and rightfully so) is that you, like many others before you, will poke your head in to garner votes and support, win (or come close), and then depart, either never to be heard from again or to reappear only during the next Miss Freeones. I can only speak for myself, but as long as you are able to carry on the same kind of relationship with people here as you do on your own site (even if not as frequently), you'll find endorsement from me. The more you prove that you're not solely here for the contest, the more people will follow you.

The biggest qualm I think most of us have around here (and rightfully so) is that you, like many others before you, will poke your head in to garner votes and support, win (or come close), and then depart, either never to be heard from again or to reappear only during the next Miss Freeones. I can only speak for myself, but as long as you are able to carry on the same kind of relationship with people here as you do on your own site (even if not as frequently), you'll find endorsement from me. I agree with animus fox, if you want to vote for the most active model on the forum that is what the OCSM category is for. The entire point of the miss FreeOnes contest is to vote for the best girls in the industry and to attract new members and models to the site. That doesn't mean all new models only care about money, its just how the site catches their attention. And as far as only posting during the contest season, there aren't a lot of threads lately to post on. I have been on this site for over 4 years.. before there ever was a "Miss FreeOnes" and the quality of threads has declined over the last year or so. I still come on here regularly to talk to members in pm's and interact in that way, so don't assume since someone isn't posting they aren't talking to members at all.

Interesting question. And one that's pretty hard to answer.

When I see a girl in a porn scene who seems to a) not make facial expressions which communicate she's enjoying herself, b) not say anything which communicates she's enjoying herself, and/or c) look like she's on some serious drugs; then I question if this person is shooting porn voluntarily.

Having said that, I don't think it's common in the US/California porn industry (That's all I know so it's all I can speak to) for women to be forced into performing. I've met girls on set who have seemed like they'd rather be somewhere else doing another job, but it was still their own choice to do porn (usually these are the girls who just do it for the money!). I've never met a girl in porn who gave the impression that she was being forced to do it. I know that this does happen unfortunately, but after being on sixty- (seventy- ? not sure) something porn sets, I've never encountered such a situation.

What creeps me out and makes me wonder, though, is those "ex-girlfriend revenge" sites where most of the girls in the video look like they really ARE underage. I'd be more afraid of that shit than anything...

To answer your biggest concern - I was lucky enough to win the title of Best Newcomer in Miss FO last year. This, after only three months in the adult industry at all, and when I had entered the contest on a whim within the last few hours before model registration closed. I knew that I was at a disadvantage last year since I wasn't active on the boards - how could I have been? I didn't even know FreeOnes existed until very shortly before the voting began. I'm STILL surprised that I won Best Newcomer.

But in my defense, I have continued to post on the boards in the past year since I won that award. I admit that I have not made posting on FreeOnes boards my priority. That's because my priority is interacting with those fans who visit my website regularly and support me via my site, twitter, and my clips4sale store (after all- I must first take care of those things which immediately affect my income, and thus keep me alive, lol). To say that I "only reappear for the next Miss FreeOnes" or just "poke my head in to garner votes" would be incorrect and a gross understatement of the time, effort and devotion that I put into communicating with and pleasing my fans, whether they are FO members or not.

I have specific role models when it comes to other women in porn. Those women are Asia Carrera, Belladonna, and Vicky Vette. I'm lucky enough that Vicky has been so sweet and kind to me and invited me to dinner, etc. whenever we see eachother at industry functions. Knowing how much constant work it takes to keep in contact with so many fans and remain connected, I am totally fucking floored by Vicky and not only her successful VNA network of websites, but also the way she is so on top of it all... THAT'S why she won last year! She puts her fans first. That's how I aspire to be, always. And I can only hope that it shows to all you guys.

Votes or no votes... I just want y'all to know that I'm here because there is nowhere in the world that I would rather be.

I mean, if it were about who posted on the boards, then voting wouldn't be open to non-members.

But I still realize that active FO members and OCSMs are the lifeblood of the website. That's how FO stays relevant. The site would be lifeless without the boards. So I totally get why active, regular board members resent the girls who hop on and post ONLY during Miss FO. I just want it to be clear that I am NOT one of those girls!

It's one of those things that honestly kind of sucks -- like, I wish I could post on the boards much more frequently. I post about an average of two, maybe three times a week. When I look at the boards I tend to get really overwhelmed and freaked out because there's so much going on, I feel like even if I post on this-or-that-thread, nobody would notice anyway. So I usually end up positng on my own thread, responding directly to fans there. Then I go look at my tumblr inbox and there are 100 unread messages, so I tend to that as my priority... And then there's no more time for FreeOnes boards! This is the dilemma I deal with every week, LOL. I wish there were more hours in the day. Or that I could afford to hire a full-time assistant. LOL. or had two brains.

One of my absolute all-time favourite stars (Brandi Edwards) condescended to actually drop me a message once and I was beaming for weeks. I am one of those lucky fans who came across your website first and asked you a question and was pleasantly surprised to not only get a response but one that was thorough and more than a simple thank you. Don't get me wrong I can only imagine how much time you and other performers spend just interacting with fans through social media and your websites but I noticed it wasn't just my question but, every single comment/question someone left for you got the same care and while I can only speak for myself here, it certainly made me want to follow you and support you because you seem like an incredible person and being able to interact with you on here just makes me feel even more fortunate as I'm sure other members do to.

What are your thoughts on the industry now compared to when you first started? Are there certain things you didn't know before hand that you have a new and or different appreciation for?
