The art of watchmaking.

Yesterday I had a fascinating ending to a nice afternoon. We visited Premium Link Upgrade who is an old friend of my girlfriends ****** and a master watchmaker (he's a member of a highly prestiges Swiss watchmaking association) and @ the end of our visit he let me have a look in his workshop. It's really amazing what he does. He makes every watch completely by hand and he heavily modifies the movements he uses in his watches. Some of the watches he makes sell for as much as 60.000 euro's. He showed me a watch he's currently working on and the machinery he uses. It's mindblowing to see the level of perfection he can achieve on such a small scale. His watches are also very exclusive. he only makes something like 100 watches a year. It's very nice to see someone keep the art of watch making alive like this in the Netherlands.
