I know there have been other threads about this, but now that both California and NY (Brooklyn) have found Little Boy O'Keefe's trick videography to be a steaming mound of bullshit, and knowing that the Righties who had their little threads about what a big scandal it was (I saw him on FoxNews wearing the "exact same" pimp outfit - the one that he wore into the ACORN offices!!!) aren't gonna admit that it was pure, ends-justifies-the-means propaganda (I think propaganda has been one of meesterperfect's favorite buzzwords lately, so maybe he'll explain to us how O'Keefe's videos were NOT propaganda), I figure I'd start a new thread.

These 2 are the best - take a few minutes and read/watch 'em both:

[Oh, and here's hoping that, if convicted, O'Keefe gets the maximum penalty for his little wiretapping attempt.]

It seems the footage fox news showed was spliced together
nice .. fair and balanced reporting
Fox seems to go after any left organization that is effective

if you ever watched Mississippi Burning
those were ACLU members that were killed
IF it wasn't for the ACLU women wouldn't have the right to vote and..

but Fox crucifies them every night

Hiliary 2020
ok eggcorn is a socially productive "thing" and their reason for being is not to get as many people on welfare as they can, getting people to vote democrat, and strong armed intimidation of politicians and business..oh and to keep the white man from surpressing the black.
i see the light.

but why do you feel the need to defend them so much?
guilt complex?

i not black but if i were, i'd be ashamed of groups like acorn.

Let's be clear here. And Maddow even acknowledges this; these unedited tapes don't clear ACORN of all accusations. It clears two California offices of aiding and abetting underage prostitution rings. There's still a lot of footage from other offices that are plenty damning without any editing at all.

What O'Keefe, Breitbart and Fox did was disgusting and inexcusable, probably libelous, but those edits hardly amount to the video being 99.79% lies.

It sounds like you're trying to argue that Fixed, Breitbart and O'Keefe created a fictional product then used that product to commit a crime, but based their criminal activity on "truth." Wut?

I think it's sufficient for the Gov't and ACORN to sue those 3 parties and have O'Keefe and Breitbart serve jail time (maybe 6 months) basically so that they are in jail during the 2010 elections. Fixed should get out their checkbook and run a "fair and balanced" retraction piece during primetime admitting to their own erroneous and shoddy journalistic practices.

Meester, you wrote this:

but I get the sense that you don't believe that actually goes on anymore. But then how would you explain the fact that private golf and tennis clubs exclude black members from membership, there are "the Rooney Rules" within the NFL....college football has an embarrassing track record of minority head coaching hires (not college basketball)...etc. And then there's the whole lack of "color" within the board rooms of 99% of Fortune 500 companies in America today...:dunno:

Somethin' ain't rite...

Serve jail time? For a civil offense? Wow, that's a sad statement. You should be a producer for Ed Schultz.

Anyway, no, what I implied and stated is rather simple to follow. O'Keefe edited his footage to be uniformly damning of several ACORN offices in several states. Those offices that didn't fall into his "trap" were edited to appear as if they did. That's disgusting and vile and those accused should sue. However, there is much of the released video that shows ACORN workers in other offices providing advice after hearing the circumstances. That footage was unedited and uncut. Police were not called afterwards.

That doesn't indict ACORN as an organization, but it does show gross irresponsibility in ACORN offices. We shouldn't discount or ignore the truths featured in yellow journalism. Maybe the Spanish didn't sink the U.S.S Maine, but that doesn't mean we should pretend it didn't sink.

Always refreshing how you guys can blend out the obvious strategy behind the Fox "News" network behind this campaign.

Shut down a service for giving poor people a hand. And they did wrong elsewhere, but this does in no way allow for doing this to ACORN.
