I never really liked parades or the circus even as a child. When I was old enough, I played football with my uncles, cousins and whoever else wanted to play outside until time to eat. Now, my sister and I cook, so I still don't watch it.

i tried to put one on. i also had no idea there was more than one. mcdonalds? really?

i couldn't get reception. i swore at my tv a lot, took apart my antenna, swore at that, then shut the piece of shit off. i played donkey kong country instead.

I like parades. The Macy's is great except that one of the channels here in NY shows all of this Broadway show shit and only flips over to actual parade to change acts. I went once when I was a kid and loved it. The parade is to promote shit for sure. But to take it in for the show is worth me watching. You have to respect the time and work that goes into the production.

Every 4th of July I go to a relatives house in Highland Falls, NY for a BBQ and the town's parade and fireworks. Population 4000 but it sits at the south gate of West Point. The town floods with many out of town bands and fire trucks and all of that other stuff parades are made of. West Point wheels out all kinds of military vehicles with soldires and the United Stated Military Acadamy Marching Band. You can't get much more patriotic on Independance day than that. It's an all day party in the town sice people still hang out on their porches after the fireworks and bars are open till 4:00.
