Texans/Californians/Arizonians...What fast food chain is better?

Texans/Californians and people from other southwestern states and tourists..

I'm trying to get an opinion on which you like better: Texas' famous fast food chain, WhataBurger or Cali's Famous In-N-Out? Please specify if you've been to only one or both of them. Thanks.

We don't have WhataBurger in California, but I've been told it's really good. In-n-Out is, of the major fast food chains that we have, the best by far. It still doesn't hold a candle to 1/4 lb. Buger.

The only thing I don't like about In-n-Out are their fries. They taste like towel.

I like to get a 3x3 animal style and a Neapolitan shake. That's some good eats! :yummie:

I have never seen a WhataBurger here in California so I cant compare the 2 but I do like In-N-Out

In 'n Out... THE BEST fast food restaurant around. Nothing but fresh ingredients. They slice the potatoes for the fries right in front of you and there is all kinds of off the menu stuff. Animal fries are the bomb as mentioned already. (For those who don't know what it is, they are the fries covered with cheese, thousand island house dressing and grilled onions if ya want'em.) But all of their food is awesome, definitely recommend the double-double for anyone trying for the first time... and a milk-shake.

The only thing I don't like about In-n-Out are their fries.

They're only tasty when piping hot, otherwise forget it!



All in all, In/Out has the best burgers but MickeyD's has the better fries.:2 cents:

I just had Five Guys for the first time about a month ago. I was supremely disappointed in it, as personally it tasted like Jack in the Box (not necessarily a bad thing, but not what I wanted at the time) and it was expensive as shit, ($18 for two burgers and two orders of fries). I'd take In 'N Out every time.

As a former Texan I gotta go with WhataBurger! I have never been to California so I can't comment on In-n-Out Burger. But the best burger chain in the midwest is Steak 'n Shake.

Never tried an In-N-Out. Whataburger is meh. How about Fuddruckers to rep Texas instead?
