SAN FRANCISCO - Gregory Giusti, charged with making threatening calls to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, cried Thursday during his first court appearance.

The suspect's mom, Eleanor Giusti, said her son may have gotten worked up over health care reform listening to Fox News.

"Greg frequently gets in with a group of people that have really radical ideas ... which gets him into problems," she told KGO-TV. "I say Fox News, or all of those that are really radical, and he, that's where he comes from."

Giusti, 48, wept when a federal judge refused to release him to a halfway house. He was held without bail while his mental condition is reviewed.

Giusti's arrest came a day after Charles Wilson was busted in Yakima, Wash., for making 16 crank calls wishing for - and in some cases promising - Democratic Sen. Patty Murray's violent death for supporting President Obama's health care bill.

Causation is a tricky thing - there's direct and there's indirect.

Clearly nobody at FN directly told this fruitbat to go after Pelosi, but to say that Fox doesn't incite is naive and then some...

FOX News did not "incite" anything.

His mother just wanted an excuse.

You rebel from your parents by dating the "wrong girl", sneaking out, staying up late, listening to music they hate at an unreasonable volume, and hanging out with the "wrong crowd," not by threatening elected officials.

Yes, the majority of Americans are clearly angry at this administration because of Fox News.

It has nothing to do with the clowns in the White House that are driving America further into debt.

I don't understand how I never realized it until now.

On a side note, Pelosi's approval rating stands at 11 percent. Her unfavorable rating, meanwhile, is 37 percent. This means that more than one in three views her negatively.

But now I see how it is all Fox News' fault thanks to this thread.

Pssst.... having an "unfavorable" view of Pelosi doesn't necessarily mean that you think she's too liberal. One could be critical of her from the other side, imagine that.

Also, having an unfavorable view of her doesn't equal wanting to see her or her family DEAD.
