I will say that my religious conservative wife is happily married. I, as a non-religious moderate type, am also happily married although when you see a picture of us together you can't tell if she's my wife or my hostage.

Well, I can believe that. Other studies have shown that people who share the same spiritual beliefs and values tend to stay married longer... so I guess that it's safe to assume that they're generally happier than people who are on different pages and are just stumbling along the path of life.
