Lately I've been enjoying Arrogant Bastard Ale(7.2%) and Ruination Double IPA(8.5%). What kinda stronger beers do you like and please include the alcohol content?
I don't drink. I used to but not anymore. However, any hard liquor is determined by the word proof. For example: 150 proof = 75% alcohol by volume.
Proof divided by two = alcohol content by volume.
Examples:
1. Bacardi 151 rum is 150 proof = 75% alcohol by volume
2. Yukon Jack whiskey is 100 proof (in US) or 50% alcohol by volume. (in Canada) it is 80 proof or 40% alcohol by volume.
3. Jack Daniels sour mash is 80 proof = 40% alcohol by volume.
4. Cuervo Gold tequila is 70 to 80 proof = 35% to 40% alcohol by volume.
5. Stolichnaya vodka is 80 proof = 40% alcohol by volume.
Unfortunately beer is not measured that way.
Hey Jagger, is that stuff any good? It always seemed like cheapo stuff best enjoyed drinking out of a paper bag under the freeway as you yell at cars driving by. A Hobo Chic alcoholic beverage.

By the way, if you a re a hard core malt beverage enthusiast who wants to maximize the alcohol content in each brew for whatever reason, ice-brewed beers or malt liquors are the obvious choices. Steel Reserve is about the most potent domestic brew at 8.1%.
...or, drop a full shot of hooch into a mug of beer and chug that shit.

You've go the scenario down pat, amigo. It's great if all you want is a cheap drunk (three 16 oz. cans or one 40 oz. bottle are usually enough for a really strong buzz). The brew itself is really malty and, predictably, has a heavy alcohol tint to the aftertaste. Sort of a white man's answer to Olde English only a bit more potent. Here are some good reviews on it:
