Still some hope for Texas...

Yeah but they still have Shirley Jackson Lee and Wendy Davis. So that kind of negates the common sense that broke out briefly. And they don't call him "Bathhouse Barry" for nothin'.

Not much, but some lol

Mary Lou Bruner loses Texas Board of Education race.

A retired Texas schoolteacher who received national attention for her outrageous conspiracy theories and claimed President Obama was once a gay prostitute was denied a spot on the state board of education Tuesday.

How she got as far as she did to begin with is mind boggling

Nice to hear but as long as we continue to elect tea-party loonies like Greg Abbott and Dan Patrick this is but a small victory.....but a victory nonetheless. It will be interesting to see how the November election plays out. Texas is obviously a state with a shifting electorate that is increasingly Hispanic so I don't see Trump doing nearly as well as Ted Cruz would have done although I don't realistically see the republicans losing the state. The day that happens the world will truly have turned upside-down.

Jasper or Vidor would be a more logical replacement, unless you just want a larger city, but you got to be careful because them libruls done colonized most of them urban centers.

I feel obligated to inform you that it is against the law in Texas to willingly heed any advice from the French. First offense can get you 5-10 easy but you'll be out in 3 if you behave yourself. Repeat offenders are dealt with much more harshly.

But wait...isn't Georges exempt from that law?

Are you kidding? He's the fucking reason for the law. ;)

Yeah what about that, Jagger?
Guessing maybe real Texans just shrug it off since it's so close to Oklahoma?

We ceded Paris to Oklahoma decades ago and that was only because Arkansas refused to take it. Neither state really wants it so a lot of maps remain hopelessly outdated as a result. We do our best to ignore it which, actually, is really easy to do.

Silly me, I should have been able to figure the first one :D

Oh dear, now I've just see this headline on my Texas news feed....

Texas Supreme Court sides with family accused of not teaching kids while waiting “to be raptured”

Being as the premise seems to be falling apart, maybe I should ask for this thread to be deleted :1orglaugh
