Steve McNair is a great guy, came from central part of Mississippi and went to Alcorn State University in Mississippi. When he was first drafted by NFL, he spent almosts a "million dollar" to get a mansion for his mother in Mississippi.

It is sad when both Steve McNair and Brett Favre came from Mississippi and Steve practiced football in high school where Brett Favre worked out.
Almosts no one knew you can see Steve McNair and Brett Favre together in the same field in the old days at Hattiesburg Oak Grove High School.
Brett Favre went to Mississippi State University and Steve McNair went to
Alcon State University. I watched both became the best. Brett Favre married his high school/college sweatheart and Steve also got married but something went wrong.
After Steve and his team retired, most stayed in Nashville, Tenneesee but Steve met someone else, another woman, a deadly woman.
I went up to watch the games back then and standed in front of the City Hall in 1997 to rally the Houston Oilers to come to Nashville.
It is a sad day to see another black man got shot to death for nothing : drugs or woman ? WTF !!

What is with this connection between NFL players and guns?
didn't Favre go to Southern Miss? Shame anyone goes so young. NFL guys have guns so they can try to protect themselves from the thieves of the world. Didn't that Redskins DB get shot by a group that included a family member and people he had hired to do work around his house? Can't trust anyone these days

This is a horrible shock. McNair was a great quarterback, and one of the toughest sons of bitches in the NFL. I will never forget the Superbowl where they came up short against the Rams. R.I.P Steve.

And Steve McNair just open a restaurant in Nashville 3 weeks ago, just like Eddie George.
I am shocked Steve is only 36, too young to die at 36-year-old !
