Stay on the page / leave the page ...that is the question

Copy your post, leave the page and then try it again. Alternately, you can do what Andronicus suggested and simply edit the ---updated--- appendage to your post afterwards. Either way, a pain in the ass for sure.

Yes, the correct answer.

1. Post then leave the page.

2. Get the double post.

3. Go back to the thread, edit it, and delete everything under and including the word "updated."

Glad to be of service to you. :hatsoff:

How about that monkey that replaced Roald step up to the plate on this. Too busy trying to grasp the colored ticket system?

;) :) ;) ;) :) ;)

Could you explain that again please, again please, again please?

Do you know the person is a he?

Good politically correct assumption. This could be a woman or a man or both. So to encapsulate all possibilities the question should be rephrased. Who is the bitch that took over for Roald?

Unfortunately, there is no correct answer. I always stay on the page, double post, and then delete the edit. Annoying, but what are you going to do?
Yeah that's what I'm always doing, too.

I blame the metric system...
 You're just too stupid and cocky to learn something your beloved 'merica hasn't taught you. You guys are just so full up yourselves you don't want anything from others even when it's the better system.

Kidding, I love you, Andron. :D

But also serious, I don't understand why the Americans didn't adopt the metric system. It's so much better and perfectly logical. Unlike the American system. Don't even know what that system is called.

Oh I just re-read Andron's post. I'm not staying on the page. I'm actually LEAVING the page and it automatically double posts. I then delete the edit. So it's almost like Andron. Just completely different. :D

PS:
I just noticed a glitch in the glitch.

Everytime this "stay on the page / leave the page" thing happens and I do what I always do (click leave and delete the double post) I automatically and inadvertently subscribe to the thread. :dunno:

I already wondered why I'm subscribed to some threads I never wanted to subscribe to and never did myself. Now I noticed it always happens when that pop up thing happens.

:dunno:

It's my system and my ******'s system. Dividing and multiplying things by 2 or 3 is a lot more convenient than breaking **** down by 10ths.

This is just silly. The metric system is just perfectly reasoned. It's always times 10 to go to the next unit. mm>cm>m>km Simply perfect.

With your system you have to count way more. Why are 12(!) inches a ft?! And then 3 ft are a yard?! And why is the inch the smallest unit?! What if you have something smaller than an inch which is already more than 2.5 cm?! You have to break it down by saying the 7th of an inch or what?! You tell me THAT is easier?

That's ridiculous! I wonder why the states didn't go down completely by now. :D

Of course I'm not all serious, I don't care what system the U.S. use and I love you guys, but I think this system is just silly and I'm glad we use the better system like most parts of the world.

You think metric is perfect? It's a pain in the ass. 2s and 3s are much easier to eyeball. Halves and thirds are pretty easy to reason with.

But you always only have to add a 0 or take it away. Or move the dot. That's so easy and logical.

Well I grew up with it so I think this is the perfect system. You guys grew up with your system so you think that is the better one. It's always hard to get used to something new when you always used something completely different. ;)

Maybe we should ask someone that doesn't know either system which one is easier for them. Maybe some aliens? :D

Then you really would have the smallest unit.

Aww haha I SO knew something like that was coming! I was already going to make a joke about that myself, but I tried to stay "serious" on this for once! :thefinger

But since it came from you, I accept it. ;)

Talking of units is quite fitting in my DP thread. Some of my favourites are Rods, Poles, Chains and Acres.
