Star Wars

The Second-Hottest Man in my Mother's Basement
Let's talk Star Wars.

I didn't even try to get tickets for the first week, so aside from strolling past the theatre on Thursday to see the costumes, I'll probably see it late next week. Best part of it all is I don't have to worry about the movie being spoiled; that happened to me already.

When do you plan on seeing it? Or are you even planning to? Do you have any hot candids of Jar-Jar?

Star Wars is racist because Darth Vader is black. Yeah, there are some dumb motherfuckers who believe this.

I'll see it probably after the first week or so.

It premiered last night at midnight over here in The Netherlands but tickets have been sold out the first week for a while already.
Have to wait 2 weeks now, but that's ok, I am rewatching the previous 6 movies, still have 2 to go. :yoda:

I only hope I won't run into too many spoilers on the web.

Wasn't intending to go, but after thinking about how all of the online games I play will be full of movie talk, especially Star Wars The Old Republic, I went out and got myself a ticket for Friday afternoon. I only have to avoid spoilers until then.

And I can do that easily by playing Fallout 4 for 2 days straight. :D

Can I give a " Fuck Yes!" ? I am going to see it despite Disney's "in your face" marketing via t-shirts, dog treats, toys, costumes, food, underwear and I am sure there are a few unlicensed sex toys out there (disney wouldnt have their hand in that). They got me close to annoyed as fuck and not just slightly annoyed, I love star wars but after halloween the abundance of merch available really wore that love down a bit with over saturating my world with all things star wars.

I am thinking a star wars marathon before hand is mandatory while I am on holiday though! Perhaps it will cleanse the mainstream effect of one of my favorite series.

Anyone else going to marathon the movies before they see the new one ?

I was, got through 1 & 2 then with a less than 2 hour window I decided to watch the Star Wars Xmas Special (which I have never seen) and it was so bad it soured me for a week or so. Expect to get back to watching the movies tomorrow night.

BTW Disney has a connection with animated porn. Back when they were working on Steamboat Willy (The first animated movie), after Walt left for the night a few animators stayed late and drew the first animated porn. (I've seen it, it's only worth is for historical context.)

For the EMPEROR!!
At first I was like ..

Now. I'm like ..

Come here, the theater was practically empty, but the jerks stopped playing it halfway through the end credits so I do not know if there is a post credit scene.

Not wanting to spoil the movie for you, I didn't read any spoilers before watching it.

The movie is pretty good, but I was disappointed by the complete and utter absence of one character until the last 30 seconds and he didn't speak.
Another beloved character was featured heavily in the movie for a farewell reason.
There was a "I am your father moment" with tragic consequences.
For those who hated Lucas for not showing Darth Maul, the best villain in the prequel trilogy, the main villain Kylo Ren was heavily featured.
Everyone got to grab the lightsaber.

i'm going tonight at 11 30. I hope Kylo Ren is as sexy as he looks, but I am sure he is not anything as cool as Vader. I hope it's not as disappointing as the prequels!

Kylo Ren could be considered a a main character, his presence was prominent unlike the astonishing Darth Maul in the Phantom Menace, I understand that Ray Park, the guy who played him was not an actor but a martial arts guy, but he could be given much more time, and the same thing happened with Count Dooku in Episdoe II, Lucas had no excuse, he was played by one of the greatest actors, the late Christopher Lee, and yet you could not see him, in Episode III, he was killed early. Count Dooku was a charismatic leader. Here Kylo Ren is prominent and you get to see his wrath and anger many times in action, he is not a leader, he is an action man.

I saw the original "Star Wars" in 1977. I was already an adult. It was nothing special. :2 cents:
