Sports Center

Not a bit. I stopped watching when ESPN stopped being "The World Leader in Motor Sports coverage" and they dropped RPM2nite.

I have ESPN's Bottomline. It's a program that runs at the bottom of your screen. Basically a sports ticker. Constantly updated with scores and news. So sic.

Do you guys feel lost without it in your day?

I can't even stomach ESPN anymore. Their East coast bias makes it unbearable to me. They fawn over anything Yankees or Red Sox, but when a Bay Area team gets coverage, it's only for Lincecum, or to show an East coast team smashing them. Brett Anderson 2-hit the Red Sox last week, and they didn't even mention it, instead they talked for an entire segment about the impact of Nomar Garciaparra returning to Boston. Angered me so much I haven't watched since.

Honestly, until baseball is the only sport in season, I always felt that the MLB barely got any coverage, save for the two years of steroid sagas. The NFL and NBA get way too much playtime on that network if you ask me. A couple of months ago they pre-empted Randy Johnson getting his 300th win with Brett Farve on a talk show. Outside of Around the Horn and PTI, ESPN is pretty worthless nowadays.

Man. Hockey coverage is all I get here. It's bullshit. NBA finals are on and there is more coverage about the Phoenix Coyotes problems. Ridiculous.

Hockey, the Blue Jays and The Raptors is all that gets covered here.

ESPN is pretty much all I watch. I don't watch SportsCenter that much, but I pretty much watch everything else(except poker). Usually I don't start watching tv until about 5 or 6pm so I don't get to watch the earlier stuff they show(1st and 10, Outside the lines, etc...). Since I'm in summer break I sometimes catch Jim Rome which can be pretty funny.

ESPNEWS I think is the better channel at times, I like to get my late breaking news. But in all, I don't do a whloe lot of tv watching.

No, ESPN's programming is horrible now. Poker is usually on 5 nights a week...why? Is it really a sport? As for MLB, like shayd said, if it's not Boston or NY, they don't cover it. And then there's college baseball. They want nothing to do with it until Omaha, and even then their coverage is shitty at best. There's just too much of a bias towards a select few teams/schools.

Oh yeah...and Stewart Scott. He's got to be on of the worst sports anchors of all time, if not the best.

I don't care if I miss it, mainly because of the annoying anchors. They think they all have to have some bit that they add at the end of every sentence, or that they must talk about meaningless crap. I was glad when they got rid of Stephen "Screamin'" A. Smith, but they have failed to get rid of Stuart Scott and Robert Flores. I watch ESPNEWS, where the crap is less but it's still in abundance. ESPN is a giant ball of turds and you have to pick which parts of the turd stink less.

Moving to a trailer in Fife, AL.
I find myself watching ESPN News more and more now. I am a John Buccigross fan. He is a fan, but knows sports is the attraction, not some shitty catch-phrase that worked with the yokels

Nope not with all the different medias out there. Even if it is a phone.. But I do wished I had more time watching ESPN and SportCenter. I kinda miss it but so much sports gets annoying after awhile. UNless its College Football or College Basketball.

Anybody agree on how excellent it is that they have time menu on the side of the screen? I use to hate watching sportscenter and not knowing what and when something would be on.
