Speed detection equipment also has to be calibrated on a regular schedule and is a defense if not done so.

I have no need for speed. No risk of getting pulled over. No time in court, fine, or insurance going up. I get there when I get there. Make an excuse up if I'm late.

Establish the officer isn't manufacturer certified to operate the device.

Establish the last time the device was calibrated.

Establish how long the officer has been on the job.

Was this his or her's regular patrol area?

Question if the officer made a visual assessment before confirming with the radar device.

Have your own vehicle calibrated.

My last speeding ticket was for doing 90 in a 60. That's miles-per-hour for you metric wussies. So calibration wouldn't have been an issue lol.

I'm my defense, I was accelerating to pass someone. I've looked at my speedometer at times and I'm doing 100 not even realizing it. Those twin turbos though.

I've calmed the hell down once my insurance policy was renewed.

If I have a broken speedometer I can beat the ticket? Like get a bill for it's repair to show the judge?

I've never had a speeding ticket. Surprising really as my driving rule is whatever the speed limit is I add 20mph on top of it as minimum for what I feel the speed should be.

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
The only time I ever speed, is when I'm on my Harley....which is kinda stupid, since it's also the only time I ever drive ***********.

Does this defense actually get sold? There's that 5-7mph wiggle room but do DAs and judges buy it or just say fuck you? We have the cop and the ***. Pay up. It's our revenue and we don't like to lose cases.

Most of the time the client pleads to improper equipment, and reduces to a non moving *********.

The end game is not getting whacked for insurance points.

The calibration route is recommended for those that an insurance points hit would really hurt them financially.

The technician issuing the calibration affidavit must be certified and licensed in my state.

Police your own damn ********,

I guess youre joking.
But seriously, I think even 25mph is too fast in some areas.
I usually go about 20 in residential neighborhoods.
And its mainly becuase of ****, ********.
You never know, a *** could come out of nowhere at anytime.

About a year ago I had some idiot driving on my ass like glue in a 30 mph.
He was so close he couldnt see my left turn signal and tried to pass me on the left while I was making a left.
I avoided the accident then he jumps out of his car wanting to fight me.
Like I'm gonna get out and start brawling with some mental case in the middle of the road.
Lotta fucked up people out there that drive like assholes.
