SoCal38, in which the "SoCal" presumably stands for "Southern California"―then again, as well it could justifiably represent "Southern Calgary," or even "South Calgary"―I, for one would not rule out "South of Calgary" for any appreciable amount of Euros even at the current exchange rate despite the sudden devaluation of the Old Burmese peso―whereby then the "38" would refer to the line of latitude (and in this case, North latitude), and as any home economics major can confidentially attest, is decidedly south of Calgary―and (Cal)Gary, Indiana, for that matter―though seems to rip right through Calaveras County, California, which, at the present time, maintains its status as on of the fifty U.S. states. as does the surrounding areas of Kalamazoo, Michigan, although currently of unspecified latitude given the recent retiring of its numerical designation by major league baseball in 1997.
