What makes it special is that they are also including the unreleased

Yes, Starfox 64 & all the other sequels might be better games, but it would be neat to experience what the actual, first sequel to the original was supposed to be like. Until now all we had were those incomplete roms, so it will be neat to see the actual product.
The other 20 games that comes with it are also a good selection which covers most of the hits.

Nintendo should make more of these consoles with different games.

Natsume Championship Wrestling, Saturday Night Slammasters, Bomberman, Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball, TMNT, SIM City, Castlevania, Actraiser and many others.

Given the size of each of the games (a couple MBs at most), they should have included more of them. I think 30 would have been easily achieved.

I second TMNT IV, Bomberman (any of them), SimCity & Actraiser

But the big one missing is Chrono Trigger.

Others I would have included are Tiny Toon: Buster Busts Loose, Breath of Fire, and maybe a strategy game like PTO or Nobunaga's Ambition.

Let's face it, there's no way they will cover all the hits. I got my SNES hooked up right now. The only problem is games are getting expensive. But once you fork over that cash, there's nothing like playing the real deal on the real system with the real controllers. Its 16bit bliss, and its some good fucking 16bit bliss.

Should we all say goodbye to these to the scalpers now or later?

After the way they completely botched putting out the NES Classic there is no way I'm going to bother getting this, even if would otherwise have interest in getting one. Nintendo just needs to make and sell good stuff like they can instead of playing games with their products. It's a shame because five or six of the games on the list are some of the best video games ever made and about an equal number of the others are almost that good. I'm sad to see Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger aren't in, but the list is solid.

It's limited release so it should remain special and limited. What needs to happen is control on the filthy online scalpers. They are the one ruining these for us. It's immoral, it should also be illegal.

this one I'm pre-ordering as soon it goes available. A siren will go off on my phone basically.

intrigued by Star Fox 2 since I've never seen it. I wish they'd included Act Raiser II - dat soundtrack tho.

They made a good play with Star Fox 2. They held it back even though it was done. They didn't want it to be compared to what the Playstation rail shooters were doing. I respect that, wanting to maintain the integrity of the franchise.

Including Star Fox 2 was genius. It goes from nostalgia to "I gotta play that."

Yeah, its going to prove to be a very smart move. What they should consider is letting these be connected via Nintendo ID or whatever so that we could download virtual console from the eShop and have it compatible with these little bastards. But then again, what's so different about just playing virtual console on the Wii U/Switch? Not a whole lot besides the controller (which better be fucking longer if not wireless) and of course looking at the mini SNES as you play.

Nintendo hates piracy and they are probably scared to death of this thing getting modded as fuck. It will be, but it goes to show you how piracy affects these sort of things.

Really got tired seeing this sold out everywhere so I bought my SNES Classic off eBay Hacked and Modded with 275 games for 179.99.

If there are any Sega fans are out there:

I've seen it in more places than the SNES mini, so I'm guessing it's not as hard to get your hands on.

I actually ALMOST got that Sega one. I had it in my hands.. and its not hard to find at all. I looked into it.. about 40 or something of those 80 games are actual Sega games. The other half (or so) are made up bullshit flash type games. -_- Dumb as shit.

I would also prefer NOT Mortal Kombat since it sucked on Sega. I would much rather those 3 be replaced with Streets of Rage. I would have gotten it if that was the case.

One thing that's awesome about it is this.. You can load Sega cartridges into it. Smart. Buuuut not enough to get me.

Lol, Mortal Combat is the reason the Sega Megadrive was popular here (in the Netherlands), because it had blood! Silly Nintendo's version had green goo, pfff.

I would much rather those 3 be replaced with Streets of Rage.
I'm surprised Streets of Rage is not on this thing, they were my favorite games on the Mega Drive.

We don't even have this sega classic thing here.

I got a Euro SNES classic. The console looks very different over here:

I like that they made the effort to give us the same console design but I would have preferred if the games were 60hz and not PAL 50hz with the slowed down music

I ended up getting an SNES Classic and a Sega one as well. Both fun. I was really excited to play the Sega one since I didn't grow up with Genesis and was hoping to be super impressed.

Well, Sega is Sega. They have some hits, but sadly, it wasn't anywhere as good as SNES, and I was OK if it was. But no.
