I've seen/heard/read about anything and everything that occurred at Abu Ghraib (and similar prisons in Iraq & Afghanistan) and Guantanamo - and the Right finds a way to ignore it or minimalize it or shrug it off as just frat-boy hijinx. Lines of argument that I don't buy for a second.
But what if "we" were slicing people's genitals? I'm sure I can find some defenders of civilization who will defend this practice...
