In recent years he has been known for his work in the Hobbit movies but I remember him from Chariots of Fire, Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan and one of my favorites, "March or Die," with Gene Hackman and Terrence Howard. That movie is f a n t a s t i c.

May the burdens of this world rest lightly on his shoulders. So long, Sir Ian Holm. We hardly knew ye.

Chariots of Fire, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Tim Bandits, Alien, The Fifth Element, O Jerusalem, even Ratatouille. A great versatile actor who also lent his voice to many movies.

I've got to give some George Harrison "love" to Maildude for his mention of Time Bandits.

Yes, he will be missed.
