Server Error

I been having issues with the site over the last 3 months. I can login just fine but when i make an initial search, it will take forever and i will either get a database error, server timeout, or gateway timeout. Eventually after hitting refresh several times and waiting a few min the search will load results and then i can click through the pages quickly. It is only when searching. Is this a known problem?

We've had several technical issues the past few months which caused all the time outs and such.
Our tech team is working hard on upgrading lots of old hardware and hopefully that will fix a lot of the problems.
