There IS a thread about Serena, the classic porn star from the 70's & 80's and I'm delighted to give it a bit more content. Especially since it's Serena's birthday today as she turns 62! Congratulations! :bowdown:
Who was Serena? She came to LA as a teenage runaway and worked as a waitress before she was discovered and began modeling for men's magazines and then moved on to hardcore pornography (this was around the years 1970 to 1973). She became one of the big stars in the Golden Era of Porn. When she started in the industry porn was shot on film and aired in regular cinemas and porn cinemas or showed as "loops" in movie booths in sex shops. Then she was a part of the big video revolution in the late 70's and early 80's when the VCR soon became most people's property and many of them liked porn (weird people there were at the time!)
Serena has been inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame as a "film pioneer". She is one of twenty-five women of the golden era of adult films featured in the 2012 book by author Jill C. Nelson titled: Golden Goddesses: 25 Legendary Women of Classic Erotic Cinema, 1968-1985. Her image appears on the book's cover. (Thank you Wikipedia for providing these trivia). :hatsoff:
