Sandra Bullock Donates $1 Million to Haiti Quake Victims

Must be nice to have that kind of money. Either way nice gesture on her part.

She's awesome for giving unselfishly

Don't take this the wrong way, it is still a really amazing thing for her to do and it will save a lot of lives, but the only way to donate that much money "unselfishly" would be to do it anonymously. :2 cents:

By making it public she can encourage others to do the same.

Most definitely. Lots of celebrities have given money to Haiti, but not many have done it as publicly as Miss Bullock.

Not only that, but since the article puts Doctors Without Boarders in the spotlight. Maybe someone will read this who doesn't know anything about the organization will look them up and donate themselves.

Good for her. She has it to give and 1 million to her is like a grand to the rest of us. So she gave a proportionate amount of her wealth.

My thinking too. The currency isn't just in the amount but the attention her name (among others) shines on the cause.

Great job, Sandra! Can you still afford the lawyers in your child custody case?

Magnanimous and generous gesture! Let's hope that more highly-overpaid celebrities, athletes and music artists follow her lead.

The one and only.
Well, she covered the $10 I wasn't planning on donating. Say what you want about her, she's still smokin' hot. I watched Speed this week simply to see her. Hard to believe that movie is 15 years old...

Well, that's nice. If I made money off of the suffering of movie-goers, I'd probably donate a million dollars, too.
