Robert Conrad has slipped this mortal coil. He was 84.

They used to be very picky about his actor and actress co-stars in TWWW because of his height. Loved him in that show. Remember seeing re-runs of Hawaiian Eye when they played the oldies during my childhood. RC will be greatly missed. I, for one, would've never tried knocking the battery off of his shoulder.

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I loved Black Sheep Squadron. Sorry to hear this, he was a good actor. I remember him on battle of the network stars...arguing his heart out for his team.

He was GREAT in TWWW. I'd catch reruns as a kid, growing up, on the "high" channels. He WAS a bad ass. I remember hearing a story of when they would do The Network Stars athletic competitions. He and Lou Ferigno got into an argument, and Lou RAN away, because RC started coming after him!

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
It was just a few days ago in the Kirk Douglas thread that I typed this:

Well, same here. I also thought that he was already dead.

I watch a lot of old movies and TV shows on MeTV (best darn channel in the world for non-snowflake type people, IMO). There's hardly a movie or an episode of an old show that comes on that I don't whip out my iPad to see which of the stars or major players is alive or dead. Unfortunately, and increasingly, the discovery is usually not a happy one.

R.I.P., Kirk.

I was watching an episode of The Wild Wild West on MeTV just a week or so ago, and I was happy to see that Bob Conrad was still hanging in there. So to see that another real Hollywood icon has passed = :(.

R.I.P., Mr. Conrad. Thank you for the memories and making my childhood more fun... and being a good role model for kids back then.
