Yeah, I saw this coming. Damn shame we keep losing so much talent. He truly did leave a trail of greatness in his path.

A true genius and legend. Love his work....he'll be greatly missed. Lucille should go straight to Cleveland I would think....at least I sure hope she does.

The Blues HOF in Memphis. Lucille would fetch a pretty penny that's for sure.
Better it be on display where we could all view her and appreciate her. Some collector would just try and cash in for about 20 million 20 years from now.
ETA: B.B. said that he could not play and sing at the same time. As a guitarist I understand that a little although I can do it on some tunes if the rhythm is not too off beat.

I mentioned Cleveland because he was the type of artist who transcended his genre. How many rock & rollers have been turned on to the blues largely because of him? Hopefully, he has provided for something in his will....otherwise, yeah, somebody's going to get a lot of money for her.
I find it impossible to sing while playing lead so I hear you. It's a lot easier if you're playing rhythm though. My *** has an Ibanez that is very similar to Lucille. He's not much of a blues player though so he doesn't pick it up very often but it sure looks good hanging on his wall!

I think he's in the Rock Hall...I forgot, I've only been once, and to be honest, I was disappointed. I don't think it's a matter of rockers being turned on to the blues, so much as, that's what they grew up listening to, because of their parents, and when they formed bands in high school, and played at dances, and parties, that's what they played. Then, as they grew and matured as musicians...blah, blah. You know the rest. It's all connected, without this, you wouldn't have that, and so forth. Every generation of **** forming garage bands, thinks their idols and influences invented what they hear...then *** or *** slaps them upside the head with a record or tape from THEIR youth, and brings them back down to the cold hard fact, that it was done years ago, and THAT'S why YOU want to do it!
