im trying out opera and so far, i think im throwing in the towel on firefox.

what has become of my old dear friend? i never thought it would come to this.

its a little early, but its so much fucking faster and thats what i need right now. firefox just got too slow on me.

anyone else using it?

We use Opera at work. I'm not a fan of it.

CometBird is based off of the Mozzila browser engine. The same one firefox uses. It's basically a carbon copy of firefox...but faster.

I borrowed my brothers laptop and found he uses it. When I eventually get my own laptop, it'll be my main browser.

ill prolly take a look at it. as for what i needed fixed, opera fixed it. if that one can do it and be a little less buggy, i might switch.

my ff was lagging hard on text and i have no idea why. i even down-graded to a lower version because of the lag with flash video. that plugincontainer.exe crap that runs in the background of newer ff blows. not everyone has a super fast system.

isnt that all relative to opinions whats old or crappy? ask a mac user that one.

the problem is, ff has been going down the shitter for awhile now. ive stuck with it until it finally pushed me too far. i started with the first version and watched it evolve, for the worse.

i had a browsing issue with certain pages that ff couldnt handle so i looked for an alternative. my CPU speed and ram was fine but the browser itself was stalling out and thats just not cool with me.

im excited to see whats out there as alternatives.

Chrome ? fucking over-rated and Opera is just as fast -- if not faster. Fuck u too Chrome/Google !

Firefox is one of THE most overrated browsers ever to be created. People hyping it for this and for that. I've had nothing buy greif with it in the past. And recently I tried it again to see if anything's changed. Well not enough has changed to make me think it is the best browser. It's not even close to being the best!. Opera pissed all over it back in the day and it still does. And no doubt many other browsers do too.
