What is the deal with stores anymore? "Can I get your zip code?" "Can I get your home phone number with area code?"
No you may fucking not.
I went to Cabellas, and while walking around, decided to buy a piece of fudge from their little gift shop, and (no ****) got asked for my home phone number with area code! When I questioned that, and said no, the cashier got all pissy, and so I left the fudge there, and decided I'm not shopping at Cabella's again. If you need my home phone number for a $2.00 piece of fudge, then you don't need my business.
I just want to buy things when I visit a retailer. It's why I've switched to using mostly cash for everything. No one needs to know where I've made all my purchases, and no store needs to know my zip code or phone number. Not for "special deals", not for coupons, surveys, advertisement, statistics, or anything else.
And brand new to me this year- stores have started asking for email addresses. Yay- more spam.
No thanks.
