Pastor Said He Was Sucking Demons Out of Men He Sexually Assaulted, Lawsuit Claims


A Presbyterian minister in New Jersey is accused of sexually assaulting several parishioners under the guise of exorcising evil spirits.

Three men have come forward claiming Rev. Dr. William Weaver performed sex acts on them when they came to him for private counseling at Linden Presbyterian Church. Weaver, 69, would allegedly tell the men that he needed to "suck" out demons through their semen, citing Native American rituals and a verse from Ephesians telling Christians to "put on the full armor of God."
According to impact statements the men submitted to the Presbytery of Elizabeth, which has jurisdiction over the church in Linden, Weaver would order each to strip naked and lie down. Then he would place an "angel coin" on their foreheads and have them balance stones on their hands and ankles. Weaver would then allegedly perform oral sex on them.

One man, A.J. Meeker, says he started seeing Weaver about family problems in 2000, when he was 20. "I refuse to stay silent any longer," he wrote in his statement. "I need to make sure that this never happens to anyone else ever again."
Another man, Jared Staunton, said that after his assault, Weaver "lifted my head up and looked into my eyes, and said, 'You don't have to be afraid anymore, I'm your protector now.'"
With that, Staunton said, the minister kissed him on the lips.

In addition to working at Linden Presbyterian for 39 years, Weaver also served as chaplain for the local chapter of the Vietnam Veterans Association. Audrey Pereira, a representative for the chapter, described him as "a Jekyll and Hyde."
"He did good on one hand," she told My Central Jersey. "On the other hand, he did this evil to who knows how many. It can't just have been these guys. There has to be more."

An investigation by the Presbytery found credible evidence of "multiple acts of idolatry and sexual misconduct." It also reportedly uncovered gay porn on a church-owned computer in Weaver's office.
A church trial was set to start on January 25, but Weaver renounced the Presbytery and its jurisdiction the day before. He has subsequently moved to a gated retirement community in Lakewood, about an hour away from Linden.

Meeker, Staunton and another male parishioner reportedly took their case to secular authorities, as well, but the Union County Prosecutor's Office says it cannot confirm or deny any details.
In June, the three men, along with a woman who claims Weaver similarly assaulted her, filed a lawsuit in Middlesex County Superior Court. In addition to Weaver, they are suing the Linden Presbyterian Church, the Presbytery of Elizabeth and the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Believe it or not I used to be a defender of the Catholic Church. I thought people were lying about them, framing them, and wanting to destroy them through deceptive means. But I kept reading one thing after another and watching interviews of people who had their lives destroyed by them as victims of pedophilia. The last straw was when the former head of the Los Angeles Archdiocese Cardinal Mahony paid out an unbelievable $660,000,000 of money donated by parishioners to the victims of pedophilia. Since then there's been more stories of raping young boys with the Catholic Church either trying to lie about it, silence it with money, pretend crimes as this haven't happened for decades, hide evidence from the authorities, intimidate people discouraging them from pressing charges, try to convince people they are being pro-active and handling the problem, or other repulsive ways to avoid justice and bad publicity.

I still view myself as some sort of Christian who respects and admires Jesus but also feels sorry for him for having such horrible representation on Earth.

That is the foundation of our western civilization - everyone has to be treated fair, and our judicial system must always try to correct its subjects, and punishmend is only one of the aspects of it. The desire to wipe out a whole group of people, or blanket punishment is an attemt to drive us back to the dark ages. You may not be a religious man, I for one am not, but if you give in t such urges, you have lost your higher ground, and should not be allowed to point your finger at them

Sure, they get a trial by jury like everyone else should. Hopefully they get a fair trial. Aside from a plea deal (which I believe many innocent people agree to to avoid a possible very long jail sentence) if they are convicted of hurting a child , especially when rape is involved, they should get huge prison sentences the same as for murderers if not more in many cases.
If the system wants to try to rehabilitate them while incarcerated that's good.........but they should never deem a child rapist to be rehabilitated. Never. Its just a word anyway.

I'm not saying that the US system is generally lenient of child molesters and rapists. I don't think they are. I'm just saying most can not be fixed and most will do it again, so for public safety reason more than anything they should be imprisoned for a long time.

Sadly, you are right about the perspectives of "healing" a pedophile. I think the best we can hope for is, that they see the wrong in their desires, and go into programs to control their life.

I attended a certification class to do volunteer work for the Catholic Church within the last few years. I went with my wife so I kept quiet for her sake. Turned out the meeting had nothing to do with volunteer work. A woman came out and discussed sexual abuse of children within the church. She didn’t mention anything that everybody didn’t already know. Her purpose was to instruct us how to handle accusations and information about abuse. She said we shouldn’t jump to conclusions and go to the police because ”that’s how rumors start”. She said we should come to someone within the church and tell them and they will determine how to handle it. She basically wanted the church to get ahead of the abuse allegations so they can form a legal preemptive strategy to deal with it. I was fuming in the car all the way home and suggested my wife never bring me in front of those child rape enablers ever again.

I tell you something. If I had a son and some faggot pedophile priest abused him he’d be lucky I wouldn’t put him in a wheelchair for life. I would certainly have the police come down and arrest him pressing both criminal and civil charges against as many people as I could doing as much damage and causing as much humiliation as I was able.
